The Crop Factor
Digital and film images straight out of the camera are sized at 2:3 ratio (picture sizes: 4x6, 8x12, 16x24 and 20 x 30). When you print in a ratio other than 2:3 you will need to do some cropping. However not all images are created equal when it comes to cropping. Some images may look fine cropped to a 4:5 ratio(picture sizes: 8x10, 16x20 and 24x30) HOWEVER some may lose important elements. Please consider which print size you want for each image. Below is a simple guideline you may use when you are ordering your print sizes:
“How Do I Crop My Image Accordingly?”
So you ask,“How do I crop my images accordingly?”When you access your images from my website and you order the size picture you want, you will notice that when it is in your cart to purchase there is a box around the area that matches the size you ordered. Whatever is inside that box is what will print; that represents how your image will be cropped. That box can be moved around to customize your image. So go ahead and move it around until you are satisfied with the final crop. If you need ANY help at ANY TIME during your purchasing process PLEASE contact me and I will gladly assist you.
